If you do not see an itinerary listed for your dates, please contact us.  We would be glad to create an itinerary for you on the dates you desire.

All our March – April itineraries are fully booked – call or email us to create a new itinerary specifically for your dates!

Day 1:   We enter on the Hermit Trail. We contour above Hermit Creek on the Dripping Springs Trail to the junction of the Boucher Trail where we have lunch.   Day 1:   We meet at the South Rim the first morning and board provided transportation to the North Rim ( a 4½ hour drive) having lunch and stopping to view a few scenic points along the way. Distance: 1 mile

Day 2:   We leave the North Rim on the North Kaibab Trail and hike down into Roaring Springs Canyon then Bright Angel Canyon on our way to Cottonwood Campground (not to be confused with Cottonwood Canyon on the South Rim) Distance: 7 miles.

Day 3:   We will pause at Ribbon Falls on our way to the river and Bright Angel Campground. Historic Phantom Ranch, Anasazi ruins, and the Kaibab Bridge will be this route. Distance: 7 miles

Day 4:   We head across the rive on the Silver Bridge and up the Bright Angel Trail through Pipe Creek to Indian Gardens. Distance: 4.5 miles

Day 5:   On our last day we continue up the Bright Angel Trail to the South Rim. Distance: 4.5 miles

Cottonwood Campground
  3 days / 2 nights

Day 1:   After meeting on the North Rim, we hike down the North Kaibab Trail past Roaring Springs to Cottonwood Campground on the first day. This small camp has 11 campsites and has a splendid view of Bright Angel Point on the North Rim above the camp. Distance: 7 miles

Day 2:   With fast moving Bright Angel Creek adjacent there are many day hikes available to campers staying here. The Colorado River is a 14 mile round trip, Ribbon Falls a mere 3 miles (RT), The Transept has a year round stream and one can wander up it up to 3 miles in sandals, a climb of Deva Temple is possible by the truly experienced extreme hiker. Distance: dayhike

Day 3:   We hike back to the North Rim on the North Kaibab Trail on the third day. This is a great itinerary to extend for additional nights, one of the best base camps below the rim!  Distance: 7 miles

Indian Gardens
  3 days / 2 nights

When asked for the easiest itinerary possible, we usually recommend this hike. Make no mistake about it though, you’ll still be hiking the Grand Canyon and it will be strenuous.

Day 1:   We hike down the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gardens where we camp for both nights. This well may be the most lush campsite in the canyon. This well may be the most lush campsite in the canyon. The first night we encourage you to go the extra 3 mile round trip (without the backpack) to view sunset from Plateau Point. Distance: 4.5 miles

Day 2:   We dayhike to the Colorado River on the second day.  There are plenty of swimming holes to cool off in along this stretch of the Bright Angel Trail . Distance: 6 miles

Day3:   On the last day we hike up the Bright Angel Trail to the South Rim. Distance: 4.5 miles

Havasu Canyon
  3 days / 2 nights

Day 1:   We hike into the Havasupai Reservation from Hualapai Hilltop trailhead. It is 8 miles (13 km) to the village of Supai and an additional 1 mile (1.5 km) to the campground for a total of 9 miles hiking in. The trail drops about 1000 ft. elevation in the first mile and then is very gentle for the remainder of the hike to the village. We pass through the village of Supai and past Navajo Falls on the way to the campground above Havasu Falls . We set camp in the campground. Distance: 9 miles

Day 2:   We dayhike below Havasu Falls and Mooney Falls on the second day. Beaver Falls is 4 miles down stream for the energetic dayhiker. Distance: 8 miles (dayhike + / -)

Day 3:   We hike back to Hualapai Hilltop on the third day. The Havasu Baaja Tribe has about 650 members. Approximately 450 live in the village of Supai. Tribal members value their privacy. With 20,000 people a year visiting the reservation it is important for us to respect tribal laws and customs. It is never appropriate to take photographs of tribal members with out the person's expressed permission. Distance: 9 miles

North Bass
  4 days/ 3 nights

Day 1:   Down the North Bass from Swamp Point we camp above the famous narrows of White Creek for all three nights. Distance: 7 miles

Day 2:   We dayhike down the remainder of the North Bass through Shinumo Amphitheater to the river on the second day and return to camp at White Creek that night. Distance: 15 miles

Day 3:   On the third day we may rest or explore off trail into seldom visited Merlin and Modred Abyss. Distance: dayhike

  Day 4:

The last day we return to the North  Rim via the North Bass Trail. A rugged hike in a very remote part of the Canyon! This trip does not usually go to the river. We meet on the North Rim for this itinerary. Distance: 7 miles

Bright Angel Campground
  3 days / 2 nights

Day 1:   We hike down the South Kaibab Trail the first day and spend the first night camped at Bright Angel Campground near historic Phantom Ranch. Distance: 6.8 miles

Day 2:   The second day we hike up the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gardens . We often have dinner at Plateau Point when staying at this lush inner canyon campsite. Distance: 4.5 miles

Day 3:   We continue up the Bright Angel Trail to the South Rim on the last day. This trip may have a large party size of no more than 9 clients. Distance: 4.5 miles

Monument Creek, Hermit's Trail
  2 night/ 3 days

Day 1:   We hike the 8.2 miles on the Hermit and Tonto Trails into Monument Creek where we camp for both nights. This is the longest hike in and out of any of our popular itineraries. Even experienced hikers find themselves arriving late and tired on this hike so we recommend it only for hikers well used to carrying a backpack on rugged trails. Distance: 8.2 miles

Day 2:   A 1½ mile dayhike to see the river and other points of interest in this extraordinary area makes the middle day very enjoyable. Truly a spot which typifies all we expect Grand Canyon to be, Monument Creek is never disappointing. Distance: 3 miles

Day 3:   We hike back to our point of entry. Distance 8.2 miles

Indian Gardens to Bright Angel Camp
  3 days / 2 nights

Day 2:   On the second day we continue down the Bright Angel Trail to Bright Angel Camp. Near the Colorado River and Historic Phantom Ranch we have the afternoon to enjoy the hospitality of the Ranch, attend a ranger program, or sit in the creek and cool off! Distance: 4.5 miles

Day 3:   On the third day we get a very early start and hike up the South Kaibab Trail to the South Rim. Distance: 7 miles

New Hance to Grandview
  4 days / 3 nights

Day 1 & 2:   We hike down the little used "New" Hance Trail into Red Canyon ; we spend the first 2 nights in this unusual geologic area, camping by the river on the second night. If the party prefers a more relaxed pace, we may camp at one of the dry campsites along the trail the first night. This canyon's lower elevations are predominately Hakatai Shale, undoubtedly the most brilliant red of any formation in the canyon. Distance: 4 miles each day

Day 3:   On the third day we hike west from the beginning of the Tonto Trail at the river. This is the eastern beginning of the Granite Gorge.  We climb slowly through Mineral Canyon and the Tonto Trail levels out making the last 3 miles to Hance Creek a pleasure. The campsites at Hance Creek are in the beautiful narrows of the Tapeats Sandstone. Distance: 7 miles

Day 4:   On the fourth and last day we climb Horseshoe Mesa to see the mining ruins and, if time allows, Cave of the Domes before following the Grandview Trail to the Rim. Distance: 5.5 miles

Tiyo Point / Phantom Creek - Extreme Rim to Rim Itinerary
   10 days/ 9 nights

Day 1:   We hike 7.5 miles (12 km) across the North Rim to dry camp near Tiyo Point the first day. We will be expecting a dry camp the first night and will initially be carrying 7 liters of water per person. Additional water will be cached by the guides in advance. Distance: 7.5 miles

Day 2:   We descend to Shiva Saddle for the second night’s camp. A climb of Shiva Temple is attempted on this afternoon.

Day 3:   We follow down the Phantom Fault to the top of the Redwall Limestone and traverse south to camp above the route into Phantom Creek the third day.

Day 4:   Down into Phantom Creek on the fourth day we explore the Redwall narrows of upper Phantom Creek.

Day 5:   On the fifth through seventh nights we camp near the confluence of Haunted Canyon.

Day 6 & 7:   We explore Haunted Canyon on the sixth and seventh days.

Day 8 & 9:   On day 8 we head for Utah Flats climbing Cheop’s Pyramid on the way. It’s down the route from Utah Flats to Bright Angel Camp and we enjoy the hospitality of Phantom Ranch on the last evening.

Day 10:   The group decides weather to hike out on the South Kaibab or Bright Angel Trail the morning of the last day. Expect as many as seven short rappels of 20-30 ft. (7-9 m) on this itinerary.
